First Students

A community made for connection

Safe, welcoming, and centered on Jesus — because every student needs a place to belong.

Life as a student is full of changes and questions. Friendships shift. Pressures rise. Big decisions come fast. At First Students (Grades 7–12), no one has to figure it out alone. This is a place to laugh, ask real questions, and discover that following Jesus brings hope, joy, and purpose to everyday life. First Students is:

  • Centered on Christ — Jesus is the reason we gather.

  • Rooted in Scripture — God’s Word shapes who we are.

  • Built on relationships — because life is better when we’re connected.

Sunday Mornings | 10:45–11:45 AM

Students meet in The Underground for Community Groups — smaller gatherings where real conversations happen and faith starts to take root. It’s relaxed, relational, and built around helping students connect with God and each other.

Sunday Nights | Mosaic | 5:00–6:30 PM

Mosaic meets in October and March to provdie a creative, hands-on space where students discover their gifts and learn how to use them in ministry — right now. They explore music and worship-leading, tech and production, hospitality, cooking, and other ways to serve. Then, they put those skills to work alongside adults in real ministry opportunities throughout the church. Because students aren’t the next generation — they’re the now generation.

Wednesdays | Refuge | 6:00–8:30 PM

Refuge is the midweek heartbeat of First Students — a night packed with music, teaching, and connection. Doors open at 6:00 for snacks and games in the gym. Worship kicks off at 6:30 in The Underground, followed by small groups and hangout time in the gym until 8:30.

Why Parents Trust First Students

  • Caring leadership — Led by Matt Parker and a team of committed adult mentors who genuinely invest in students.

  • Safe space — Every gathering is designed to be welcoming, respectful, and a place where students can be themselves.

  • Christ-centered focus — Everything we do points students toward Jesus in everyday, practical ways.

  • Lasting relationships — Authentic friendships that carry beyond church walls into real life.

Your student matters. Their safety, growth, and joy matter. And here, they’ll discover that they’re loved, valued, and never alone.

More Than Just Events

First Students isn’t only about schedules — it’s about belonging to a movement. From service projects that bless our neighbors, to nights of laughter and games, to Generate camp, students are discovering that faith in Jesus is both fun and life-changing.
