Families

At First Baptist Church Lee’s Summit, we believe God designed His Church to be a family where every generation matters — and where each one helps the others thrive. The youngest need the wisdom and encouragement of those who have gone before. The oldest need the joy, questions, and fresh perspective of those coming after. And in between, we discover the beauty of walking side by side, learning from one another, and serving together.

Here, your kids, teens, and you will find not just programs, but people — friends of all ages who will celebrate your milestones, pray through your struggles, and cheer you on as you follow Jesus.

A Space for Every Stage

Birth – Pre-K

It’s never too early for little ones to learn they are loved by God. At FBCLS, preschoolers experience Bible truths through play, music, and activities that spark curiosity and joy — all while forming bonds with caring adults who will walk with them as they grow.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade

These are big years for building faith that lasts. First Kids helps children grow in God’s Word and develop a personal relationship with Jesus through engaging lessons, worship, and hands-on activities — surrounded by older generations who model what everyday faith looks like.

First Students
6th – 12th Grade

Adolescence is a time of big questions and important choices. First Students offers a space for teens to explore their faith, connect with mentors, and serve alongside people of all ages, building resilience and a sense of belonging in the larger church family.

(And they have an absolute blast along the way.)
