Becoming a member at FBCLS isn’t about signing a paper. It’s about belonging to a family — joining a community that follows Jesus together and helps one another grow in faith, love, and purpose.
Membership is our way of saying, “I’m all in.” It’s a step of commitment — to Jesus, to His mission, and to this local church family.
If you’ve never made the decision to follow Jesus…
That’s the most important step you can ever take.
It means turning toward Jesus — letting Him rescue you from spiritual disconnection and the feeling that you’re not worthy or don’t belong.
It means giving Him authority over your life and trusting Him to lead you forward.
That decision is symbolized through baptism — an outward expression of an inward change.

If you’ve already decided to follow Jesus and been baptized…
We’d love to welcome you into membership based on your story. Tell us how Jesus has been at work in your life, and we’ll help you know what to do next.
If you’re already a member of another Baptist church…
You can transfer your membership to FBCLS. Just tell us about your previous church, and we’ll take care of the details for you.

We’ll follow up and answer any questions you have about church membership and your spiritual journey.
We like to introduce new members during a Sunday morning service. But don’t worry — you don’t have to be introduced in person. Your name will appear on a welcome slide as we celebrate your decision together. We’d also love to include a photo of you or your family when we welcome you.
New Member Lunch
Every 6-8 weeks, we invite new members and folks interested in exploring membership to our New Member Lunch. You’ll share a relaxed meal, meet our ministry team, and hear more about the mission and values that make FBCLS such a special place to belong. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions and discover your Next Steps with us.
