Childhood is a big adventure. Every week brings new discoveries, deeper friendships, and bigger questions about life and faith. At First Baptist Lee’s Summit, we help kids know they are loved by God, belong in His family, and can live out their faith every day.
First Kids welcomes kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade. We focus on:
Life-changing connection with Jesus through age-appropriate Bible teaching
Hands-on learning that sparks curiosity and wonder
Friendships that last — because faith grows best in community
Memorable experiences that help kids see God’s truth in everyday life

Sunday Mornings —
Worship + Small Groups

We begin together in multi-generational family worship — all ages and stages singing, praying, and hearing God’s Word as one church family. Then kids head to age-appropriate small groups where caring leaders help them explore the Bible in fun, meaningful ways.
Sunday Nights — First Arts
Creativity • Confidence • Celebration
In October and March, Sunday nights become First Arts — a creative space where kids learn to worship through music, drama, visual arts, and more. They discover their gifts, practice together, and offer what they’ve learned as part of multi-generational worship-leading on a Sunday morning.
Bible Drill — God’s Word in Their Hearts
Confidence • Focus • Courage
Kids learn Scripture by heart, build Bible skills, and gain the courage to use God’s Word in real life — at home, at school, and with friends.
CentriKid — Summer Camp for Kids
Adventure • Friendship • Awe
A high-energy, faith-filled camp where kids experience worship, recreation, and Bible study designed just for them. It’s the kind of week they’ll talk about all year.
