Giving
Your Generosity Grows
Every dollar given to FBCLS is more than a number — it’s a seed. It grows into meals for the hungry, hope for the hurting, and opportunities for people to encounter Jesus.
When we give, we join God in His work of restoring hope and changing lives. It’s a moment of worship, recognizing that everything we have is a gift from Him.
Your generosity helps people in our city feel seen, known, and cared for. It sends encouragement to missionaries across the world. And it shapes our own hearts to depend on God’s provision instead of our own control.
At FBCLS, we’re deeply thankful for the generosity of people who believe in this mission.

Policies for Special Gifts
If you’d like to learn about designated or non-cash gifts, here’s how we handle them:
-
Adopted by Church Vote, April 15, 2012
Designated gifts to First Baptist Church shall only be accepted and spent for ministries and projects approved in advance by the church through the Finance Team. These restricted designated funds are given with the understanding that First Baptist Church has complete control over the funds. The funds will be used as designated with the understanding that when the ministry or project ends, has become overfunded, or when the need for such ministry or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the Finance Team, the remaining restricted contributions designated for the ministry or project will be used where needed most.
-
October 9, 2008
First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit encourages its members to be generous in their giving. In order to attain effective stewardship of non-cash resources the subsequent procedure will be followed:
For any item or property with a value more than $250, a description of the donation will be given to the Finance Committee and Trustees for review. Finance Committee and Trustees together will approve or disapprove the acceptance of the item or property. When final approval is received the donation may be delivered to and accepted by the church.
