Student Ministry volunteers help teenagers feel known, valued, and connected to Christ. Some lead small groups or attend weekly gatherings. Others serve as mentors, help with trips, or support special events. Every role contributes to one bigger story: helping students grow in faith, character, and community.
Volunteer Screening Process
At FBCLS, we care deeply about creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone—from our youngest preschoolers to our oldest members. Since volunteers in many of our ministries serve alongside minors or other vulnerable people, all volunteers complete a background check through Checkr.com before joining a team. After you apply, you’ll receive an email with next steps for that process. Once cleared, a ministry leader will reach out to invite you to a volunteer orientation.
